OverDrive Tools is designed to give you full control over your data.
If you would like to disconnect OverDrive Tools from your Google account and request deletion of any user-related data processed by our Service, please follow the steps below.
1. Remove OverDrive Tools from Your Google Account
You can revoke OverDrive Tools’ access to your Google account at any time directly from your Google Account settings.
Steps to remove access:
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Open your Google Account settings.
- Navigate to Security.
- Locate the section titled “Third-party apps with account access”.
- Find OverDrive Tools in the list of connected applications.
- Select OverDrive Tools.
- Click Remove Access and confirm.
Once access is removed:
- OverDrive Tools will no longer be able to access your Google Drive.
- Any active connections between OverDrive Tools and your Google account will be terminated.
2. Request Deletion of User-Related Data
OverDrive Tools does not permanently store copies of your Google Drive files. However, limited operational or account-related data may exist (such as connection status or billing records).
If you would like to request deletion of any user-related data associated with your account, please contact us.
How to request deletion:
- Send an email from the address associated with your account to: info@overdrive.tools
- Use the subject line: “Data Deletion Request – OverDrive Tools”
- Include:
- Your Google account email address
- A brief statement requesting deletion of your data
We may request additional information to verify your identity before processing the request.
3. What Happens After a Request
After receiving a valid deletion request:
- We will delete or anonymize applicable user-related data, subject to:
- Legal obligations
- Billing or accounting requirements
- Technical limitations
Some data may be retained where required by law (e.g. financial records).
4. Important Notes
- Revoking access through your Google Account immediately stops OverDrive Tools from accessing your Google Drive.
- Deleting data does not restore files, folders, or permissions that were previously modified or deleted through user-initiated actions.
- OverDrive Tools cannot recover files removed from Google Drive.
